Well, a lot has happened in the last few months. I went to Texas for two weeks while Greg's wife Sophie, had a baby boy. Their fourth. Jack who's four, Myles and Andrew who are two and a half, and now AJ (Alexander James0 named after his uncle Jimmy. He is so cute. Sophie wants a little girl some day but is happy with her boys, who are all boys!!!!!!!
On New Years Eve, Greg and I will be having a slumber party with Ella, who is six, Lily, who is three, and Laila, who is one. It should be a fun and long night. I'm just glad that we're in our bedroom finally so that we'll have the room.
I love my new bedroom. It is huge and we have two walk in closets. One for Greg and one for me. There ten feet by six feet and I use every inch of it. I have my own fireplace and patio doors out to the back yard. The family room and dinning room and the living room are finished also. I feel like I'm living in heaven. I can't wait until my kitchen is finished now. We also have to replace the carpet on the stairs and lay tile in both entry ways. I'll post a few pictures of some of it.
Greg and I are going back to Texas on the fourteenth of January to see Gregory get his wings. He will be a full fledged pilot in the Marines then. He's pretty excited. We're really proud of that kid.
Jim's doing really great also. He was going to close his welding shop but all of the sudden he got really busy and has gotten some really big contracts. Greg's been out of work like many contractors and will be going to Jackson to help him. He takes very good care of his dad and pays him far more than we think he should. He's a good boy. He also took several contracts to plow snow thinking he wouldn't be busy. He so busy with both business now that it's a wonder he ever gets some sleep. He proving to be a very successful business man and we are really proud of him.
Maya and Sam are at their dads house and Dilya, who goes out almost every night is acting out her teenage years again minus the immaturity. She's a good mother and daughter. Anyway they'll be gone for a week and I can't say I'm not going to enjoy the quiet.
Tracy has her hand's full with her three girls. One day she went upstairs to the play room to find the room filled with stuffing from and couch. She could hear Laila crying but couldn't find her in all the Cotton batting. She finally found her buried, lying flat on her back trying to kick all the batting off of her. We thought Tracy should have thought to get a picture. She didn't think it was appropriate when she was giving them all heck and trying to stuff the batting back into the couch.
Being a grandma is so much funner than being a mom!

I know it's been awhile since I entered anything in my blog but I'm not even sure anyone reads it so I guess I'll enter this one for my future generations sake, (what ever that means)
I'm in Texas right now and have been for two weeks. I go home on Tue. I have enjoyed being with my son and his family. He has three boys who are very active. They are all boy and that means their a hand full. The twins are so cute and getting so big. They are two years now and Jack is four. The baby, AJ, short for Alexander James,(he was named after my younger son James)was born last Wed. at 6:30 a.m. He is almost eight pounds and he is so cute. He looks just like his older brother Jack.
Gregory will get his wings in January and me and my husband will fly out to see that. In the meantime Gregory says they might come home for Christmas. I sure hope so.
I went to church in their ward for the fist time last week. I had already been warned that it wasn't a very friendly ward because they had so many military move in and out of the ward that as soon as they new you weren't going to be there long, they didn't pay much attention to you. Anyway, last week their bishop taught the combined meeting for RS and Priesthood. He taught about how we could all show our loves for other more especially at this time of year. After many suggestion I raised my hand. I told them that I could tell that they were very nice people now that I had listened to the things they had to say in Sunday school and the combined meeting. Then I told them that not one person had said hi to me in the entire day. I told them that had I been an investigator I would have left probably thinking that all Mormon's were like that and not returned. I told them that we need to make sure everyone who walks through the doors of any ward feels loved and accepted. I said it a lot nicer and they seem to receive it well because I had a flood of people come and talk to me today. I hope they keep it up. Greg and his family will be gone soon so I guess we'll never know.
I really miss my husband and family. Lily, who is two asks me every time I talk to her if I'm going to come home and take her to Wally world. Grandpa baby sat them last Friday and when Lily got there she looked everywhere for me and was quiet upset when she couldn't find grandma. So grandpa helped her call me and she told me with a very sad voice, "I miss you grandma. I want you to come home." It made me want to cry. What a cutie.
I will be glad to go home but I will miss my son and his family so much. I will be very hard when he is deployed.
Well I have posted a few pictures for my non-existent readers to see. Love you all, Jeana or grandma Pete what ever the case may be!

My granddaughter Ella, came up to me very upset and said that a girl had called her the F word. I was so upset to not only think that some little girl would say that but that Ella would even know what the F word was. I was still upset some time latter when I told Dilya what had happened. She said that the girl had called her a fat baby. Who would have thought that in the LDS community the F word meant FAT and not what I know you all were thinking just like I did.
Ella caught the bouque at Jim and Becky's wedding. Everyone thought that was pretty funny. She is such a cutie. Her mother dried the flowers and hung them up over her bed.
Well, we're about to watch conference and I can't wait.

off to school they go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Okay, my two oldest grandaughters just went of to school this week. I'm not sure how I feel about this. I keep thinking back at my childhood and remembering how aweful things were for me. I remember in the sixth grade. They had combined the fith and sixth grades so the the room was half and half. We had a teacher called Miss Thurman. She was huge and she wore pop bottle glasses, theriputic nylons with a seam up the back and she always had a handkercheif in her wristwatch. She would give us an assignment and then leave the room to roam the halls in search of other teachers to pass the time with. The minute she would leave the room the two Peggy's in the room, (both were blond and popular) and they would say, "Who can draw the ugliest Jeana picture in the class. I was humiliated since even the dump fifth graders joined in. I would keep my focus on my desk until the laughter at each picture would prove too much and I would run out of the school and home. Home wasn't much of a reprive because there was no comfort there, but at least I was away from the two Peggy's and their torture for a time.
But you have to remember, my circumstances growing up in the home I did made me insecure and very much a backwards child. My grandchildren are the total oppisite. They are happy, well rounded and very loved. They will do well because they won't be a target like I was. I know they'll be alright.
I am so thankful to my Heavely Father for listening to me so many years ago when I attended a birthday party for a friend who let's face it, felt sorry for me. She had the most wonderful home and family and at seven years of age I swore to myself I would have a family like her's some day and I did. My heart is overwhelmed with greatfulness and love for my Father in Heaven.

For all those who have been asking about my book---I just got an email from the publisher. It seems the editors assistant misplaced my book that I emailed to them in Feb. It never got sent back out to readers. She apologized and said that she'd put a rush on it. Man this is torture. Wow, that makes me feel so much better.
CRASH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Here goes my first blog!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had some really good and really bad excitement this week. Last November a good friend of Greg's gave me a brand new, never been out of the box, china cabinet. I was gorgeous and I was so excited because I had a lot of dishes. Did you notice that I said HAD a lot of dishes. That's because the other night we heard the loudest crash I've ever heard and I ran up stairs to find that three quarters of my long saved and loved dishes were on the floor---which is solid wood---in pieces and the floor was badly damaged from all the broken glass. I was so numb I couldn't even cry. It seems the dowels that hold the glass shelves up had rattled loose---we think because of the trains that go by frequently---and the glass shelves fell. The good news is that the hutch didn't even get scratched. I had just acquired a crystal sugar bowl that I got at a garage sale for 25 cents if you can believe it and it was destroyed. (Yes the people I got it from knew what it was when they sold it to me) The good news is, another bowl that was peach glass from France that I had just bought at a second hand store was sitting on top of the mess unharmed. All my glasses, some of which were a hundred years old or better, my soup terrain, several platters and other fine glass wear, beautiful vases and pitchers and an old platter that belonged to my grandmother. Also a beautiful old china cup from her. All my favorite pieces were on those two shelves and they were destroyed. The only thing that survived was my china that was on the bottom shelf. The hutch itself wasn't harmed either.
I know an artist that lives up the street from me. He does the most beautiful work and sells art all over the country. I saw a bunch of it awhile back and fell in love with two pieces. He gave them to me the other day for a price I'm not allowed to say. He said that I loved them so much that he thought I should have them. I felt real bad taking his work for what he offered it but he wouldn't take no for an answer. I was really excited and thought that it must be my year for people giving me expensive things. Although I've never had another year when that happened.
We're painting the additions. Then we'll lay carpet and THEN Greg will do my kitchen. I am so excited to have the kitchen of my dreams---well at least mostly it will be. I'd have to have a lot more space to have the real kitchen of my dreams. when the house is finished we will have remodeled every room in the house. The upstairs bedrooms will only get painted and eventually new carpet. My colors upstairs are dark sage, cream, and white with red accents. Down stairs the office and bath/laundry will be cream. My bedroom will be cream and red with our bathroom done in red and white. I can't wait to sink into a jetted tub. My upstairs has a large walk in pantry in the kitchen and in the dinning room. I wanted a lot of storage. The master bedroom has two, large walk in closets with built ins. I'm really excited to not only have a large closet but to not have to share with anyone.
Well as soon as I figure it out I will be posting picture of my family. Love to all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
